Firefox O.S : New kid on the block

Mozilla Corporation's Firefox after being one of the most popular web browser, just entered the race of mobile operating system with their recent announcement of Firefox O.S, they are following google's footsteps by making the O.S open source hence making it more easily accessible to a range of Mobile Phone manufacturing companies in the future, currently Mozilla is only offering two Developer Phones, the Keon and Peak.

Keon runs on a single core 1Ghz Qualcomm processor packs 512MB  RAM, 4GB internal memory, 3 megapixel camera and 3.5" screen, however Peak runs on 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, offers the same memory as Keon but includes 4" screen, an 8 megapixel back camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. Keon and Peak, both of the phones are available on sale at "geeksphone.com" at $119 and $195 respectively although both of the phones were sold out in a matter of hours but they later reappeared on the website.

Firefox O.S already has several partners including names like, Facebook, Twitter, ebay, Electronic Arts, Disney, LG and Qualcomm also considering the fact the two developers phones were sold out in a few hours, there might be a future for Firefox O.S in the market which is now dominated by Google's Android and Apple's iOS.

Nokia trying to reconnect with people

I was a Nokia fanboy three years ago. I have changed many phones since then and none of them were Nokia made. They lost their charm sometime back and the reason was Symbian O.S it was good but not good enough. Today people in India are not looking forward towards Nokia,  most people will say because Nokia made phones don't run on Android or Nokia Sucks.

They were just lazy not that they didn't release anything good, they came up with Pureview and N9 but they didn't try to evolve themselves and in the end people were bored with their O.S.

A change is required always, I believe this will be the reason for iPhone's downfall.

Nokia tried their best last year with Lumia series when they announced it, I was excited I wanted to get one for me but I didn't bought one , simple reasons lack of features. I wanted front camera (don't laugh I actually use it) and they didn't gave me one, so I bought HTC Radar (best decision ever),  many people bought the gorgeous looking Lumia 900 but they still managed to scare everyone again when Microsoft announced any phone running on Windows Phone 7 won't be upgraded.

Nokia needs to win people's trust again, they make the best Hardware all they need is support from Microsoft to stay in the race. This year they are releasing their Windows Phone 8 lineup which is impressive so far, but they need to do a lot more to bring back their old customers who now prefer other brand over Nokia.
